Traditional Thai
Massage is an ancient healing art passed on by Buddhist monks
through the centuries. Its origins lie in Ayurvedic medicine,
founded in India over two and a half thousand years ago.
The treatment involves assisted stretches and is often described
as 'applied Yoga'. Pressure is used on specific areas of the
body relating to energy or Sen lines.
Traditional Thai Massage keeps muscles and joints supple, helps
to assist posture and alignment, and is used to relieve many
common ailments including;
Stress related problems
Back or neck pain
Constipation
Headaches
Insomnia
PMS
Di Faulkner is qualified to practise Traditional Thai Massage,
having trained and studied in Thailand with Yan Prahpas Sangkhawat,
an instructor from WatPo Medical School.
The treatment lasts approximately one hour and loose clothing
is essential.
